Wow! What an amazing two weeks in Burlington, MA (just outside Boston). In 2018, I completed the Gordon Institute for Music Learning Professional Development Level I Course in Piano and this year, went back for Level II. These courses have been life changing. I couldn’t ask for a better group of friends and colleagues, especially the 4inspiration group pictured below.

I was delighted to get to see Luci in person (we have lessons on Zoom as we live hundred of miles apart!) for a teaching demo. This was the first live teaching demo I have ever done for such a big group of piano teachers. It was thrilling and Luci was fantastic!

I had a great time learning with the Level II crew from our teacher, Jenny Fisher. Krista Jadro and Janna Olson were covering the Level I participants who arrived the following week. Krista and Janna spent a lot of time working with us in the first week before heading over to Level I and I’m always in such of awe of how much I learn from these amazing women.

Now that I’ve finished the two piano levels, I’m hoping to get to an Early Childhood PDLC in the near future. I am so grateful to Music Teachers National Association for accepting my application for a Teacher Enrichment Grant which helped pay for this continuing education adventure. And of course, a big thanks to the Gordon Institute for Music Learning for making these PDLCs available every summer!
