My name is Hannah Mayo. I want to change the world one piano student at a time.

I am Hannah Mayo and this is Mayo Piano – a place to realize a lifetime of music potential.
I hold a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Pedagogy and a Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where I was awarded the Phi Beta Kappa Masters Award. I continued to teach class piano and some private lessons as an adjunct professor at UL Lafayette, until 2023, when I decided it was time to focus all of my energy on my independent studio and early childhood music programs.
I began teaching piano, as a pedagogy intern, at ULL in 2006. In 2012, I became the early childhood music and piano teacher at REACH Institute. I continued growing an independent teaching studio and in 2014, established Hannah Mayo Music, now named Mayo Piano.
I am proudly certified by both the Music Teachers National Association and the Louisiana Music Teachers Association and I’m currently serving as VP Publicity for LMTA.
I’m a life-long learner and my students are my greatest teachers. I want their time with me to be joyful. I want them to grow into literate musicians who love and understand music. I am guided by research, and the wisdom of excellent mentors, to do my very best for every student.
